The 2026 Taizhou Tea Expo, which ran from May 8 to 11 at the Taizhou International Expo Center in East China's Zhejiang province, highlighted China's deep-rooted tea culture and the vitality of the tea industry.

Covering 14,000 square meters with 700 booths, the expo attracted more than 400 enterprises from across China and featured a wide range of products and cultural displays, reinforcing Taizhou's reputation as the "ancestral land of tea in Jiangnan (south of the Yangtze River)."

Local varieties such as Tiantai Yunwu tea, Yangyan Gouqing, Sanmen Shanshu white tea, and Tiantai yellow tea were showcased, each reflecting the region's long tradition of tea cultivation and craftsmanship.

Beyond Taizhou, well-known producers from Yunnan, Guangxi, Anhui, and Taiwan also participated, presenting a full range of categories including green, black, white, yellow, oolong, and dark teas.

Brand promotion sessions were held continuously on the Hall 3 stage, where Zhejiang Long'er Volcanic Tea promoted its "volcanic black tea" series, which the China National Tea Museum recognizes for its distinctive geological flavor. Cross-regional cooperation was also strengthened through exchange projects between Guangxi's Lingyun county and Taizhou.

Interactive cultural experiences, including traditional incense making, tea ceremonies, and floral arrangement displays, allowed visitors to engage directly with intangible cultural heritage.
