The beloved Loquat Street Market, a cherished early summer tradition in Quzhou, Zhejiang province, for over two decades, reopened on May 10 in the temporary parking area of Beimen Street.

The market features nearly 200 well-organized stalls, with baskets brimming with golden loquats, creating a lively atmosphere filled with the sounds of farmers calling out and residents chatting happily.

The Loquat Street Market is a well-known community market in Quzhou, providing a convenient platform for local farmers to sell their produce directly to residents. Originally a spontaneous roadside market on Taizhen and Fushi roads, it has evolved into a well-managed and aesthetically pleasing marketplace.

The newly upgraded market features uniform sun and rain shelters and neatly arranged stalls along the street. Special areas have been designated for unloading goods, and convenient parking spaces are available for visitors.

According to 2025 statistics, the Loquat Street Market received over 250,000 visits and generated nearly 2.6 million yuan ($382,809) in additional income for local farmers during the event.
