Officials from foreign consulates in Shanghai and representatives of business organizations from 20 countries visited Jiaxing in East China's Zhejiang province on June 3 to explore the city's innovation, culture, and industrial development.

The delegation visited the Xiangfudang Innovation Center in Jiashan county, a key area within the Yangtze River Delta Eco-Green Integrated Development Demonstration Zone. Visitors also toured major innovation platforms, including research facilities affiliated with leading Chinese universities and laboratory facilities, gaining insight into the region's efforts to combine technological innovation with sustainable development.

The group later visited the Nanhu Lake scenic area, one of Jiaxing's best-known cultural landmarks. At the Nanhu Revolutionary Memorial Museum and nearby historic sites, delegates learned about the city's history and development, while taking in its traditional waterside scenery.

Over the following two days, delegates visited local manufacturing companies, logistics hubs, cultural attractions, and rural development projects — including Zhenshi Holding Group and Puyuan Fashion Resort — gaining a broader understanding of the city's economic strengths and investment environment.

According to the Foreign Affairs Office of Jiaxing, the visit was intended to strengthen international exchanges, promote mutual understanding, and create new opportunities for cooperation in trade, investment, and cultural exchanges. Through face-to-face engagement, Jiaxing seeks to further expand its global partnerships and enhance its role in international economic networks.
