New logistics corridor boosts Yiwu's cross-border e-commerce
A shipment of cross-border e-commerce goods completed compliance procedures on June 8 at the Yiwu Express (Cross-Border) Supervision Center in Jinhua, Zhejiang province, before being transported to Shanghai Pudong International Airport and flown to Los Angeles, the United States.
This land-air intermodal collaboration between Zhejiang and Shanghai has opened a new export channel, creating a cross-province pathway for Yiwu's cross-border e-commerce products.
"In the past, it took over 10 days for our cross-border shipments to reach customers in the US," said Tu Hongming, head of Yiwu Cu Jia Trade. "Now, with the Zhejiang-Shanghai land-air fast track, delivery can be completed in as little as 3 to 5 days, marking a significant improvement in logistics efficiency."
Multiple departments in Yiwu and Shanghai have developed a tailored support plan that focuses on key aspects of customs transfer and provides paperless customs clearance and real-time data sharing to ensure that goods are quickly prepared for transport upon arrival at the airport.
A 24-hour online consultation service is also available to promptly address business needs, helping companies reduce costs and increase efficiency.
