A series of innovative bamboo products from Anji county — located in Huzhou, East China's Zhejiang province — has been displayed during the World Trade Organization's 2026 Trade and Environment Week, held in Geneva, Switzerland.

After its debut at the WTO Trade and Environment Week in 2025, Anji was invited back this year to present the latest innovations of its bamboo industry.

The annual event, the biggest public gathering focusing on trade and environment organized by the WTO, drew significant international attention.

As a global leader in the bamboo industry, Anji exhibited over 100 bamboo products, as a substitute for plastic products, including disposable consumer goods, hotel supplies, daily necessities, office items, and handicrafts. The eco-friendly concept and intricate design of these products captured the interest of international delegates and attendees.

Statistics reveal that Anji's bamboo industry reduces plastic waste by over 3,000 metric tons annually, offering a sustainable solution to global plastic pollution.

Through deep collaboration with the International Bamboo and Rattan Organization, Anji has been promoting the "Bamboo as a Substitute for Plastic" initiative to drive green, sustainable development.
