The Hehe Culture on Campus: International Youth Series special event was held on July 4 at Zhejiang Normal University in Jinhua, East China's Zhejiang province, bringing together more than 320 students from 52 countries to discuss Hehe culture, a regional philosophy rooted in harmony and integration.
Taizhou, regarded as the origin, symbol, and practice hub of Hehe culture, launched a broader campus partnership program in May involving 16 universities across Zhejiang to promote cultural exchange and cooperation between institutions.
This Jinhua session featured lectures, dialogue forums, and storytelling activities designed to guide participants from initial exposure to a deeper understanding of Hehe culture.
A "Hehe Story" sharing session brought together speakers from Egypt and Ukraine with experience in education, media, and cultural exchanges, highlighting how the philosophy of harmony is applied in different contexts.
Participants also took part in cultural workshops featuring Taizhou's intangible cultural heritage crafts and tasted regional cuisine as part of broader efforts to present local culture through immersive experiences.
