A volunteer team from the Medical College of Jinhua University of Vocational Technology conducted an international trade research project on TCM cultural products this summer at China Yiwu International Trade City in Zhejiang province, focusing on traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) cultural products and international trade.

The team explored how TCM culture connects with global commerce. Through visits and interviews with local businesses, students learned that China Yiwu International Trade City attracts nearly 600,000 overseas buyers annually.

Some merchants have combined TCM concepts with jewelry design to create cultural products such as wellness-themed bracelets and pendants, which have gained popularity in domestic and overseas markets.

The team also interviewed 36 foreign traders to learn about their wellness habits and understanding of TCM.

The activity combined medical education, cultural exchange, and social research, allowing students to apply their knowledge in real-world settings while exploring how TCM culture and products can connect with international markets.

The team plans to continue developing a practice model integrating campus resources, community service, and international exchange.
