The 2026 Hongchuan Cup Football Super League kicked off on July 17 at the Grand Canal Sports Culture Park in Jiaxing, East China's Zhejiang province. The event will run through the summer until September.
Covering over 8 hectares, the park features six standard 11-a-side football fields, two 5-a-side pitches, and basketball and tennis facilities. Among them, two grass pitches have received FIFA certification, giving the venue professional credentials to host major competitions.
Since it began trial operations in November 2025, the park has hosted more than 40 matches across 23 major events. More national-level competitions are expected to be held there, including potential China Football Association youth tournaments. The 2026 Chinese Community Football Super League finals are also scheduled to take place at the venue in October.
The park has attracted professional teams for training, including Jiangsu's Yancheng team and Dalian K'un City Football Club from China League One. It has also partnered with local schools to establish youth training programs, creating a pathway for young players to develop their skills.
With affordable public sports programs and regular competitions, the park is building an active football culture along the Grand Canal, aiming to deliver "monthly events and weekly matches" for residents.
