International travelers arriving in Ningbo can now enjoy duty-free shopping before leaving the airport. On July 24, the first arrival duty-free shop at Ningbo Lishe International Airport opened, marking a new milestone in the city's efforts to enhance international travel services.
Located in the international arrivals hall and the Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan arrivals hall of Terminal 2, the shop offers a wide range of duty-free products, including premium wines, spirits, cigarettes, and cigars. With competitive tax-free prices, it provides inbound passengers with a convenient one-stop shopping experience upon arrival.
The store is the second arrival duty-free shop in Zhejiang province and the only airport arrival duty-free shop established in the province over the past decade. Its opening follows a national policy announced earlier this year to establish a new arrival duty-free shop at each of 41 ports across China, including Ningbo.
Ningbo Customs played a key role in supporting the project, guiding store planning, customs registration, warehouse management and operational procedures. Working closely with the duty-free operator, customs authorities helped complete preparations in just over two months, ensuring the shop opened on schedule.
A Ningbo Customs official said the new store enriches airport services and strengthens Ningbo's role as an international gateway. Customs will continue to improve supervision and traveler services, further enhancing the airport's convenience, efficiency, and global appeal.
