Yiwu's cross-border e-commerce transactions reached 100.08 billion yuan ($14.82 billion) in the first half of 2026, up 11.25 percent year-on-year and exceeding 100 billion yuan for the first time in six months.

The county-level city in Jinhua, Zhejiang province, has combined express sea-rail services with fast international shipping and launched sea-rail intermodal services to destinations including Los Angeles and the Port of Aden in Yemen, helping cross-border parcels leave Yiwu more efficiently.

The Yiwu Global Digital Trade Center has introduced a livestreaming program covering nearly 700 merchants, who have held almost 5,000 sessions through major e-commerce platforms to reach domestic and overseas markets.

Yiwu is shifting from growth in transaction volume toward higher-quality development, with lower-cost, more efficient matching between suppliers and buyers.
