Quzhou Xingcheng Culture Media, based in Quzhou, Zhejiang province, completed AI-assisted multilingual adaptation of more than 1,200 Chinese short dramas from January to July this year, with the annual figure expected to exceed 2,200.

A Chinese short drama can be edited, translated, dubbed in multiple languages, and uploaded to YouTube within half a day through AI-assisted workflows, enabling faster overseas distribution.

On the company's operation dashboard, the short drama The Saint King of Bahuang has been translated into Russian, English, Japanese, Arabic, and other languages, generating more than 3 million overseas views.

The team uses AI to analyze audience preferences on different language channels and designs targeted covers and opening sequences to improve click-through and completion rates.

Founded in September 2024, Quzhou Xingcheng Culture Media has developed experience in AI-assisted translation and overseas distribution of short dramas.

The company has standardized its workflow through technology upgrades, improving translations from earlier versions that were criticized as unnatural. It also uses A/B testing for cover designs and data such as click-through and retention rates to optimize content distribution.

Shi Xingshan, head of Quzhou Xingcheng Culture Media, said the company would continue developing AI animation dramas and multilingual adaptation services to share Chinese stories with worldwide audiences through digital media.
