Natalie from Ukraine has made Lishui's Qingtian county her home, becoming a vlogger who showcases the county's unique East-West fusion.

After arriving in Hangzhou in 2022, she was immediately drawn to Qingtian's European-style shops, imported ingredients, and relaxed pace, which reminded her of Ukraine, so she decided to settle here.

Natalie now mostly films edible delicacies, with local specialties frequently appearing in her videos. She has also documented Qingtian's transformation, with better roads, tidier villages, and rising rural incomes.

In September 2025, she launched a series about her life in Qingtian, visiting old streets, learning the local dialect, and trying stone-carving crafts.

In May, she opened a separate Douyin account for Russian-language teaching, offering beginner lessons. Within four months, the account gained over 48,000 followers. She is now producing the "Family Learns Russian" series to make language learning more accessible.

Now widely known in Qingtian, Natalie has been invited to promote rural fairs and participate in cultural events.

She plans to keep filming Qingtian's changes, showing overseas audiences the authentic Qingtian, hometown of overseas Chinese, while offering domestic viewers a window to foreign languages and cultures.
