A coconut processing base operated by FreeNow, based in Tongxiang, a county-level city in Jiaxing, Zhejiang province, began production on Sept 7 in Indonesia, marking the company's first overseas deep-processing facility for coconuts. The project enables coconuts to be harvested and processed locally, cutting the time from harvest to processing to seven days, shortening the supply chain, and helping maintain product quality.

The facility has also introduced advanced Chinese production equipment and standardized management systems, addressing gaps in Indonesia's deep-processing capacity, creating local jobs, and increasing the value of the coconut industry.

The company also signed a strategic agreement on coconut-shell carbonized materials, seeking to make fuller use of coconut resources.
