The "Link-Up Argentina Youth Entrepreneurship Support" project was launched on Sept 8 in Yiwu, a county-level city in Jinhua, Zhejiang province, involving 130 offline and online participants and marking the city's first regular cross-border e-commerce training initiative for overseas youth.
The Zhejiang Provincial People's Association for Friendship With Foreign Countries leads the program, organized by the Yiwu Cross-Border E-Commerce Association, Tongyue Social Work Service Center, the General Business Confederation of the Argentine Republic, and the National University of Tucuman.
Spanning one and a half months, the training includes online courses, practical exercises, and field visits in Yiwu, with more than 10 professionals, scholars, and legal experts serving as international volunteer mentors.
Wu Qiang, an Argentine cross-border e-commerce entrepreneur rooted in Yiwu, said that he hopes to help young people from his homeland master e-commerce skills and bring Yiwu's quality products to South America.
Yiwu's evolution from a small trading town to a global supermarket continues to attract international attention, with the city's exports to Argentina exceeding 5 billion yuan ($745.36 million) in 2025, up more than 120 percent year-on-year.
Project leader Chen Feng highlighted that the Link-Up project will continue to use Yiwu's supply chain and e-commerce expertise to enhance cultural exchange and global trade.
