China's State Council has approved the expansion of Jiaxing Comprehensive Bonded Zone, adding a 0.17-square-kilometer area northeast of Jiaxing Nanhu Airport. Following the expansion, the comprehensive bonded zone will have a planned area of 2.51 square kilometers, forming a "one zone, three areas" layout.

As the only specialized air cargo airport in the Yangtze River Delta region, Jiaxing Nanhu Airport has opened multiple passenger and cargo routes. The new area will develop five major functional sections and focus on emerging bonded businesses, including aviation equipment maintenance, cross-border trade, and cold-chain processing, addressing gaps in bonded services around the airport.

The expansion will strengthen links between the airport's air cargo port and the cross-border e-commerce comprehensive pilot zone while bringing together industrial resources in the airport economic zone.
