Exports from Huzhou, Zhejiang province, to Shanghai Cooperation Organization member states reached 7.9 billion yuan ($1.18 billion) from January to July, with machinery, textiles, and furniture among the major products exported.

Anji Haiwei Smart Furniture Technology has recorded rapid growth in exports to Russia. The company has developed customized gaming desks for the Russian market, and the value of its exports to Russia increased 4.9-fold year-on-year from January to July. Its exports to the country are expected to exceed 10 million yuan this year.

In Changxing county, Zhejiang Taihu Yuanda New Material, a manufacturer of cable materials, has seen growing exports to Egypt, an SCO dialogue partner.

Large-volume orders began arriving this year after a process of more than three years from sample testing to bulk supply. Zhejiang Taihu Yuanda New Material's exports to Egypt exceeded 12 million yuan from January to July, up 196.1 percent year-on-year.

Huzhou Customs said it has introduced measures including remote and priority inspections to shorten customs clearance times for local exporters.
