Zhejiang competitors won three gold medals and two silvers at the 48th WorldSkills Competition, the province's best-ever result at the event, which closed in Shanghai on Sept 27.

The competition drew 1,385 competitors from 68 countries and regions across 64 skill competitions. China fielded 71 competitors in all 64, winning 41 gold medals, 11 silvers, four bronzes, and six Medallions for Excellence.

Six competitors from Zhejiang took part in five skill competitions. Duan Libo and Zeng Chen of Hangzhou Technician Institute won gold in Car Painting and Unmanned Aerial Systems, respectively, while Fu Yuhao of Zhejiang Construction Technician College took gold in Wall and Floor Tiling. Unmanned Aerial Systems was one of seven new skills introduced at this year's competition.

Zhou Le of Ningbo Technician College won silver in Heavy Vehicle Technology, while Yao Wangze and Zhang Junhao of Zhejiang Construction Technician College took silver in Concrete Construction Work.
