A panel of Chinese and international experts in international communication, foreign affairs and protocol, and journalism and media evaluated the finalists on their English delivery, depth of content, international communication awareness, and stage presence.

Drawing on their experiences of living and working in Jinhua, the contestants told stories about the city from different perspectives. Some explored China's economic development through the Yiwu International Trade Market, while others examined cultural connections between China and the world through Wuju Opera.
