A new Amphenol Airwave (Haiyan) Communication Electronics factory is set to begin operating in Haiyan, Jiaxing, Zhejiang province, as equipment is being moved in.

The factory is the latest investment by US-based Amphenol Corporation in Haiyan. It marks the group's seventh additional investment in the area since 2017 and is expected to add 2 billion yuan ($298.85 million) in output value after reaching full capacity. Covering about 30,000 square meters, the new factory was built and delivered in just five months.

The rapid progress was driven by "Haiyan speed". During construction, the project team advanced decoration preparations while building the main structure, rather than waiting until completion. The clean workshop was completed in 70 days.

Beyond construction efficiency, local authorities provided tailored services to meet the company's needs for temperature and humidity control, heating, and nitrogen supply. A 3D simulation model built from more than 100 design drawings also allowed real-time adjustments to details.

Amphenol-related companies in Haiyan generated nearly 12 billion yuan in output value last year, helping boost the local 5G communication and electronic information industry chain.
