The 140th China Import and Export Fair, also known as the Canton Fair, opened in Guangzhou, Guangdong province, on Oct 15. It will run through Nov 4 in three phases. Spanning 1.55 million square meters and featuring 75,700 booths, the fair marks its 70th anniversary this year.
Nearly 1,900 companies from Ningbo, Zhejiang province, are participating, with more than 4,600 booths. Their representatives are expected to make more than 20,000 visits across the three phases.
For many Ningbo businesses, the fair offers a chance to reconnect with existing clients, explore new markets, and showcase innovative products.
Ningbo Assist Tools, a long-time participant, is presenting new products including a 2-in-1 utility knife and a high-rigidity tape measure, while seeking to expand into Belt and Road partner markets.
Ningbo Xindajie Electric is showcasing smart safes designed for bedrooms, with features tailored to female consumers, while placing greater emphasis on customer service.
Innovation is another highlight. Beifa Group is bringing its AI-powered translation pen, which won the gold award at the 2026 Canton Fair Design Award.
In the fair's third phase, running from Oct 31 to Nov 4, two Ningbo companies will also showcase their expertise in smart healthcare. Zhejiang Lingyuan Neurotech focuses on brain-computer interface solutions for rehabilitation, while Xingaoyi Medical Equipment specializes in magnetic resonance imaging systems.
