An 11-member cultural delegation from Ningbo has brought the charm of traditional Chinese rural art to an international audience at the Daegu Arts Festival in South Korea.

Zhu Biyun, a renowned folk painter and a teacher at Henghe Central Primary School in Cixi, a county-level city in Ningbo, joined the delegation and showcased cultural and creative products inspired by Cixi's folk paintings.

Ningbo and Daegu artists exchanged paintings and calligraphy works, sharing techniques and artistic perspectives. The Ningbo delegation also performed music featuring melodies and vocal styles unique to Ningbo at the festival's opening ceremony and visited several local cultural institutions, including the Daegu Art Museum.

Zhu presented South Korean friends with creative products featuring Cixi folk art, including decorative mirrors and pocket notebooks, which combine artistic appeal with practical use and capture the region's rural scenery, folk customs, and cultural heritage.

This visit marked another step in bringing Cixi folk painting to international audiences and strengthening cultural ties between Ningbo and Daegu.
