The Jinhua Hospital of TCM – which is also known as traditional Chinese medicine – was established in July 1958 following the merger of seven polyclinics and one dental clinic located in Jinhua city in East China's Zhejiang province.

After more than 60 years of development, it has now become a Grade-III Class-A hospital for TCM – integrating medical treatment, scientific research, teaching, prevention, health care and rehabilitation.

In 2013, the hospital established a medical cooperation center with Zhongshan Hospital affiliated to Fudan University in Shanghai. In 2021, the hospital established a cooperative hospital relationship with the Cancer Hospital of the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences, to introduce high-end medical resources.

The hospital has a floor space of 40,000 square meters and it currently has 978 beds and 25 wards.
