Ai Qing (1910-1996), originally named Jiang Zhenghan, was a poet who enjoyed household fame, who was born in Jinhua. His most renowned works, Dayanhe – My Wet Nurse, Snowfall on the Chinese Earth and Ode to Light, are regarded as some of the finest modern Chinese poems.
