Thirty-eight key projects break ground in Jinhua

A groundbreaking ceremony was held on Jan 5 for 38 projects worth a combined 48.8 billion yuan ($7.68 billion) in Jinhua, East China's Zhejiang province.

Among them, urban organic renewal projects accounted for 18 percent of the total investment, while infrastructure projects accounted for 11 percent, social livelihood projects accounted for 8 percent, and industrial projects accounted for 63 percent.

Chief among the projects is the construction of an intelligent manufacturing industrial park invested by Jinhua JD logistics. The park will develop and manufacture personalized products for customers with 3D printing, robots, industrial software and industrial Internet and develop intelligent logistics and cross-border e-commerce industries. It is expected to reach annual sales revenue of 10 billion yuan.

Construction on 27 high-rise residences and supporting commercial buildings also began in Xiaozici community, Yiwu to promote the integration of resources and optimize the environment of the old town.

Work has also started on a 1-billion-yuan project led by Jinhua Leapmotor New Energy Auto Parts Technology Co Ltd. The project will build a modern intelligent factory to meet the production needs of Leapmotor vehicles. The factory is expected to have an annual production capacity of 200,000 sets of new energy vehicle batteries, 250,000 sets of electric drives, and 200,000 sets of lamp assembly parts.
