The train carried 577 metric tons of export goods such as water pumps, home appliances, fabrics, and daily necessities produced by enterprises in Jinhua, Jiaxing, and Wenzhou worth $2.16 million.

It is expected to finish the 3,327-kilometer trip in five days, four to six days shorter compared with road logistics.

Starting from January this year, Jinhua will operate one to two international freight trains per month from Jinhua to Laos on the China-Laos Railway further enhancing the railway logistics advantage of Jinhua.

The regular operation of China-Laos Railway (Jinhua-Vientiane) international freight train will create a new international logistics channel for export-oriented enterprises in central Zhejiang and surrounding areas as well as the Yangtze River Delta region to connect with Southeast Asia and effectively drive more Chinese goods to get into the international market.
