​Jinhua exports exceed 500 billion yuan

The total value of foreign trade in Jinhua, East China's Zhejiang province reached 588 billion yuan ($92.8 billion) in 2021, a year-on-year increase of 20.8 percent, ranking third in Zhejiang province, according to the statistics released by Jinhua Customs.

The export value was 532.63 billion yuan, up 15.5 percent year-on-year, ranking second in the province for four consecutive years. The import value reached 55.37 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 116.9 percent.

The city's exports to Africa, the United States, European Union, Latin America and ASEAN were 84.57 billion yuan, 80.88 billion yuan, 72.81 billion yuan, 70.46 billion yuan and 54.72 billion yuan, respectively, accounting for 68.2 percent of the city's total export value.

The export value of mechanical and electrical products reached 230.01 billion yuan in 2021, a year-on-year increase of 16.3 percent and accounting for 43.2 percent of the city's total export value.

The city's imports of agricultural products reached 20.66 billion yuan, up 57.7 percent and accounting for 37.3 percent of the total import value in the same period.

In addition, taking advantage of the China-Europe freight trains and the comprehensive free trade zone, the city promoted the import of cotton yarn, copper and aluminum, with the import of unwrought copper and copper materials reaching 11.05 billion yuan, up 528.4 percent.
