The lithium-ion battery module production line project of Zhejiang Liwinon Energy Technology Co Ltd was listed as a major leading industrial project in 2021, according to the Zhejiang Provincial Development and Reform Commission and Department of Natural Resources of Zhejiang Province, local media reported on Jan 26.
Covering an area of 617 mu (41.13 hectares), the project was carried out in the Lanxi Economic Development Zone in Jinhua, with an investment of 5.21 billion yuan.
The project will feature 2,045 sets of equipment at an internationally advanced level, such as coating machines, roller presses, winding machines, forming machines and testing equipment, as well as a battery module production lines.
The company is expected to generate an annual output of 240 million lithium-ion cells and boast production lines with an annual output of 240 million lithium-ion battery modules after the project is completed.
