370 Yiwu-Xinjiang-Europe freight trains operate in Q1

A total of 370 Yiwu-Xinjiang-Europe freight trains departed from Yiwu, East China's Zhejiang province in the first three months of the year, a year-on-year increase of 10.1 percent, according to local customs.

From January to March 2022, the number of returned Yiwu-Xinjiang-Europe freight trains increased by 98 percent to 141. Building materials, textile raw materials, tools, auto parts, chemical products, machinery and equipment, food and beverages, furniture and household appliances are commonly shipped by the train on its return journey.

From January to February, the total value of exports and imports delivered by the Yiwu-Xinjiang-Europe freight train was 4.89 billion yuan ($768.54 million), an annual increase of 5.3 percent.

Since the first launch of the Yiwu-Xinjiang-Europe freight train, more than 3,770 trains have operated, and shipments have exceeded 308,000 twenty-foot equivalent units. The service has been recognized for its stability, high-quality services and reasonable price.

In terms of both the number of routes and sphere of influence, the Yiwu-Xinjiang-Europe freight train service eclipses most other China-Europe freight train services operated by other Chinese cities.

The Yiwu-Xinjiang-Europe freight train offers point-to-point direct train lines for international freights in 17 directions, covering 50 countries and more than 160 cities in Eurasia.
