The Jinhua Sports Center Gymnasium, one of the 19th Asian Games venues in Jinhua, is well prepared for 14 days of sepaktakraw competitions for global teams from 17 countries and regions.

The venue is located at No 2688, South Shuanglong Street, Wucheng district, Jinhua, covering an area of 16,800 square meters and a construction area of 26,900 square meters. It can seat 5,800 people.

The wooden floors of the main hall are made from maple trees and are cushioned and slip-resistant, making them suitable for indoor ball games.

As the competition venue of the Hangzhou Asian Games, the venue underwent renovations from December 2019 to March 2021. It was approved by the Asian Games Organizing Committee in September 2021.

Lighting, sound reinforcement equipment, display screens, flag lifting equipment, air conditioning, audio and other equipment in the Jinhua Sports Center Gymnasium have all met standards for large-scale competitions.

Mao Renjie, director of the Jinhua Sports Center Gymnasium, said they can control all 164 sets of lights in the venue to allow for multi-model operation via tablet.

The opening ceremony of the 19th Asian Games Hangzhou 2022 will be held on Sept 10, and all 56 venues for the Games and the 4th Asian Para Games are now ready.
