14 villages in Jinhua put on national list

A total of 14 villages in Jinhua, East China's Zhejiang province, made the sixth batch of traditional Chinese villages recently, according to local media outlets.

A total of 2,138 villages were recommenced by 30 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the central government to take part in the evaluation by relevant central departments.

The listed villages have a rich history and culture, distinctive traditional village features, and an intact protection status. They have also been rejuvenated through rural vitalization and rural tourism. These villages have become models of rural development and environmental protection.

Among the 14 listed villages, six are located in Jinhua, including Shangyang village, Tashi township and Yafan Second village, Yafan town in Wucheng district, Yapan village, Chisong town in Jindong district, and Huqian village, Qingyanghong village, and Wuduqian village in Yangbu town, and the Jinhua Development Zone.

The other listed villages include Nyubu Village in Nyubu sub-district, Lanxi city, Tianshan village in Dongyangjiang town, Dongyuang city, Mashu village in Xianhua sub-district, Pujiang county, Donglong village in Taoxi town, Wuyi county, Zhiying Eighth village, Zhiying Sixth village, Zhiying Fourth village in Zhiying town, Yongkang city, and Damin village in Shuangfeng township, Pan'an county.

Jinhua is currently home to 18 Chinese traditional villages and 137 provincial traditional villages.
