The 2022 Chinese Medicinal Cuisine Cooking Competition was held in Pan'an county, Jinhua, East China's Zhejiang province, on Nov 11.
This year's competition attracted a total of 118 participants divided into 32 teams from all over the country. After fierce competition, two special gold awards, six regular gold awards, eight silver awards, and 16 creative awards were given out.
Sponsored by the China Cuisine Association, the Chinese Medicinal Cuisine Cooking Competition has been held for three years, aiming to promote special Chinese cuisine with traditional Chinese medicinal herbs.
Chinese people believe that it is preferable to eat food than to take medicine. With proper collocation, traditional Chinese medicine will not overpower the flavor of dishes but add a unique flavor.
