Business delegations made up of about 100 local enterprises in Jinhua will leave for the Middle East in the coming days, according to local media outlets.

Jinhua's exports to the Middle East are mainly food and kitchen supplies, plastic products, textiles and clothing, tools, and toys.

From January to October this year, foreign trade between Jinhua and Saudi Arabia was up 17.38 percent year-on-year to 9.41 billion yuan ($1.37 billion), among which the total value of export commodities was 9.18 billion yuan. Bilateral trade between Jinhua and the United Arab Emirates reached 13.68 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 44.53 percent.

Among the companies on the team, 31 have signed up to participate in the 2022 World Trade Expo Saudi, aiming to promote their products in overseas markets.

"Saudi Arabia is an important export market for Jinhua. In the Zhejiang Jinhua Export Online Fair (Saudi Station-Consumer Goods Special Session) held in July 2020, Jinhua enterprises won orders worth $18 million," said Zhang Sheng, head of the exhibition department of the Jinhua council for the promotion of international trade.

In addition, 35 Jinhua-based enterprises expect to win orders at the China (UAE) Trade Fair held in Dubai. The fair has been held 12 times and is composed of eight major professional exhibitions for textiles and garments, industrial machinery and gifts. This is the first time Jinhua has arranged for a business group to participate in the fair.
