Over 30 local enterprises in Jinhua, East China's Zhejiang province, promoted their products at the 2022 World Trade Expo Saudi, which concluded in the early morning of Dec 17 Beijing time.
The exhibition area for Jinhua, namely the Jinhua Product Promotion on the Silk Road, displayed a variety of goods, including construction and decoration materials, hardware tools, furniture, electric new energy products, clothing and textiles, and daily consumer goods, attracting a number of active buyers.
During the three-day expo, a total of 12 Jinhua-based enterprises made intentional orders worth $23.7 million, according to the city's overseas trade group. Head of the trade group noted that participating in such overseas exhibitions is expected to promote the city's foreign trade and increase Jinhua's share of exports in Saudi Arabia.
Li Da, head of Jinhua Fengyun Import and Export Trading Co, was excited to go to Saudi Arabia for the first time in three years. Li said her company had received a lot of support from the local bureau of commerce in light of the COVID-19 epidemic.
Li used to go to Saudi Arabia every year in search of business opportunities and to carry out face-to-face talks with foreign buyers. Li noted that products made in China are popular among buyers in Saudi Arabia, which is why people there are glad to see Chinese participants in trade expos.
On the first day of the expo, Li communicated with many buyers from the United Arab Emirates, Yemen, Egypt, Sudan, and Jordan and made many intentional orders.
