Jinhua business delegations leave for Thailand, Indonesia

A business delegation from Jindong district, Jinhua left for Thailand to carry out economic and trade activities on Dec 26.

The delegation, sponsored by the local government of Jindong, will visit enterprises and business projects invested in by Jindong companies in Thailand.

They will also promote the district's business environment and investment promotion policies in the district during their visits to organizations such as the Thai-Chinese Chamber of Commerce and the Thai-Chinese Youth Chamber of Commerce.

Chen Xiaolong, chairman of Jinhua Tuopu Optical Instrument Co, joined the trip with the company's latest and branded products.

Chen said that the five-day trip provides a great opportunity to study the local market in Thailand and obtain orders.

The local government of Lanxi, a county-level city of Jinhua, also sent a business delegation to Indonesia on Dec 27.

The Lanxi delegation will visit the China-Indonesia Economic and Trade Cooperation Zone, promote the local business environment to the Indonesian Zhejiang General Chamber of Commerce, and explore overseas textile and garment markets.

During the five-day trip, an event will be held to promote Lanxi's textile and other pillar industries in Indonesia.

Lu Zheng, chairman of Zhejiang Seven Star Textile Co, said they will look for business opportunities during visits to local industrial associations and enterprises.

Zhejiang Seven Star Textile Co is a high-tech enterprise in China for high-grade pure cotton elastic fabrics and various blended and interwoven new fiber fabrics. This year, the company's exports, mainly those to Southeast Asian countries and regions, increased by 80 percent year-on-year to 180 million yuan ($25.81 million).
