Jinhua's business delegation to Thailand has received orders worth $53.6 million so far, according to the local bureau of commerce.

The delegation, sponsored by the local government of Jindong district, visited enterprises and business projects invested in by Jindong companies in Thailand.

They also promoted the district's business environment and investment promotion policies in the district during their visits to organizations such as the Thai-Chinese Chamber of Commerce and the Thai-Chinese Youth Chamber of Commerce.

Lin Chuqin, chairman of the Chinese Entrepreneur Association in Thailand, hopes to take this visit as an opportunity to promote bilateral economic and trade cooperation, cultural exchanges and multi-directional investment between Jinhua and Thailand. Lin also invited businessmen from Jinhua to go to Thailand again in June this year to participate in the 16th World Chinese Entrepreneurs Conference.

During the visit, Zhao Bin, a representative of Zhejiang merchants in Thailand and chairman of the Thai-Chinese Rayong Industrial Zone, said he was excited to see the business delegation from his hometown, as the Jinhua delegation was the first government delegation from China to visit the park in the past three years.

Jointly built by China's Holley Group and Amata Group of Thailand in 2006, the industrial zone was one of the first Chinese overseas industrial sites and has become a testament to cooperation between China and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations or ASEAN.
