Songxi Ancient Village, located in northeast Pujiang county, Jinhua, is a well-known national historical and cultural village with a history of thousands of years.

The village is surrounded by mountains and rivers with various kinds of ancient buildings. There are more than 1,560 ancient buildings constructed in the Ming (1368-1644) and Qing (1644-1911) dynasties, and many ancestral halls, dwellings, bridges, temples, ancient wells, theater buildings, which have been well preserved.

The village is named after the Songxi stream. There are two streams of the Songxi River passing through the village, and many houses are built over bridges.

Many visitors to the village choose to stay at the Songxi Shanfang homestay. The homestay is built in a Hui style, with over forty clean and cozy rooms. It is a sketching base for the China Artists Association in Pujiang due to its antique low-rise houses with white walls and black roof tiles.
