An exhibition that brings together intangible cultural heritages from the country's southern and northern areas kicked off in Beijing on Jan 14.

The Beijing Charm, Jinhua Style exhibition is hosted by the Beijing-based National Center for the Performing Arts and the Jinhua Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television and Tourism from East China's Zhejiang province.

The exhibition has brought together about 220 items in more than 30 outstanding intangible cultural heritages in Beijing and East China's Zhejiang province.

"We want to present the residents of the capital city a special traditional cultural feast," says Li Yuanyuan, curator of the exhibition.

The exhibition is on display at the NCPA and will last until April 16. In the interim, intangible cultural heritage experiences will be prepared for visitors to try during Spring Festival.

Liu Yuxiao, director of the artwork department of the NCPA, says the exhibition is very meaningful to promote the excellent Chinese traditional culture and can meet the public's growing cultural needs.
