A business delegation from the Jinhua Economic and Technological Development Zone embarked on an eight-day trip to Europe on Feb 26, aiming to expand business opportunities and secure new orders.

The delegation includes government officials and representatives from 12 companies involved in the pharmaceuticals, hardware tools, automotive parts, mechanical and electrical equipment, and daily necessities sectors.

They will visit Switzerland and Germany to hold talks with leading companies, participate in the Cologne Asia-Pacific Procurement Trade Fair, and learn about advanced business concepts and experiences. Auto industrial insiders in the delegation will also visit Mercedes-Benz Group in Stuttgart, Germany.

"We have not been abroad for more than three years due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This European trip organized by the government provides us with an opportunity to expand our business and we are full of expectations," said Lu Can, general manager of Zhejiang Hongchang Electric Appliance Technology Co, a national "little giant" company engaged in the research and development of household electrical appliance parts.

Since the beginning of this year, the Jinhua Economic and Technological Development Zone has implemented policies to help enterprises expand their exports, including financial rewards for enterprises that achieve a certain export scale and growth rate. Additionally, foreign trade enterprises participating in overseas exhibitions and expanding overseas can enjoy subsidies for exhibition booths and transportation costs.
