Officials from the Asian Sepaktakraw Federation have recently inspected the venue for the 2022 Hangzhou Asian Games in Jinhua, Zhejiang province, in preparation for the upcoming sepaktakraw competitions.
The delegation, led by ASTAF President Abdul Halim Bin Kader, checked the facilities and equipment at the Jinhua Sports Center Gymnasium and discussed the arrangements for the sepaktakraw competitions with local organizers. Officials from the Jinhua Branch of the Hangzhou Asian Games Organizing Committee told visitors about preparations for the venue and shared relevant upgrades and modifications that had been made to the facility.
Halim praised the venue for the sepaktakraw competition as a high-standard facility, including the playing area and VIP rooms, expressing his confidence that the competition would be a great success.
The sepaktakraw competitions of the 19th Hangzhou Asian Games will take place from Sept 24 to Oct 7 at the Jinhua Sports Center Gymnasium. About 30 teams, comprising both men's and women's teams, are expected to compete for six gold medals. Over 550 athletes, coaches, technical officials, and media personnel will also attend the games.
