The 14th Jinhua Camellia Festival kicked off in Jinhua on March 10 and will run until March 20, with a wide range of activities and events to celebrate the beauty and cultural significance of the camellia flower.
The opening ceremony was followed by a series of events, including forums, online promotions for camellia flowers and cultural performances.
Participants of the festival will have the opportunity to take part in guided tours of camellia gardens, traditional tea ceremonies, and camellia-themed craft workshops. There are also food stalls and vendors selling local delicacies and handmade souvenirs.
One of the highlights of the festival is the launch of a camellia-themed tour. People can visit 10 recommended scenic areas to admire flowers, take photos, and share their experience on social media platforms to take part in a "Daka" event. The 10 scenic areas are Xiazhangjia Village Camellia Cultural Hall, China Flower and Nursery Smart Expo Park, International Camellia Species Garden, Xiwu Flower Market, Wanfo Pagoda, Shuanglong Amusement Park, Jinhua Zoo, Yushe Ecotourism Scenic Area, Panda Pig International Ranch, and Jinhua Railway Culture Park.
