The Hengdian cultural industrial cluster in Dongyang, a county-level city in Jinhua, East China's Zhejiang province, has been listed among national cultural industrial demonstration parks, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism announced on March 22.

Fifteen cultural industrial parks in the country made the list.

The cluster's inclusion in the list is largely due to efforts by authorities to advance the integration of its culture and tourism sectors over the past three years.

Efforts include rolling out a series of favorable policies and providing financial support to its film enterprises.

Authorities granted funds worth 713 million yuan ($103.56 million) and provided 90 million yuan in subsidies to support enterprises during the same period.

Authorities have also been taking steps to form a complete film and TV cultural industrial chain by adding service offerings and improving government services.

The town is currently home to 1,830 film enterprises, including Iqiyi, and Bona Film Group.

About one-fourth of films, one-third of TV dramas, and two-thirds of costume dramas in the country are shot in the town.

The revenue of the cluster amounted to 22.06 billion yuan in 2022, and the revenue of film enterprises above designated size was 10.78 billion yuan.

The town has also received national recognition for its efforts to use advanced technologies to enhance its tourism industry.
