Authorities in Yongkang, a county-level city in Jinhua, East China's Zhejiang province, held the 13th China (Yongkang) International Door Industry Expo and the 2nd World Hardware Development Conference on May 26.

The fair and the conference were aimed at deepening cooperation in key fields of the hardware industry and driving its high-quality development in Yongkang, according to authorities.

Yongkang is currently home to more than 500 large door manufacturing enterprises that produce 37 million doors per year, and has established a complete door industrial chain that covers raw materials supply, surface processing and product testing.

Enterprises that boast more than 1,700 patents have been involved in setting six national standards and 14 industry standards.

Door products made in Yongkang are sold to more than 100 countries and regions.

The 85,000-square-meter fair exhibited seven categories of door products including household doors, power doors, accessories, windows, locks, and equipment.

A total of 835 enterprises from home and abroad attended the fair, a year-on-year increase of 13 percent.

The fair also held an online parallel session where services such as online display, new product releases, and background information were provided to establish cooperation and reach trade deals.

The index for the world's hardware industry innovation was also released at the 2nd World Hardware Development Conference, an indicator of the new trends and innovations of the industry.

Yongkang has signed agreements with organizations and societies from countries like Germany, Finland and Canada to strengthen cooperation in private economy, trade, investment and technology.
