At the upcoming 19th Asian Games Hangzhou 2022, Jinhua will hold all matches of sepaktakraw, which will yield 6 gold medals. On the occasion of the 100-day countdown to the 19th Asian Games, members of China sepaktakraw training team came to the school campus in Jinhua and interacted closely with all the students.

On that day, young performers from Jinhua Art School with an average age of 16 brought an excellent Wuju opera show and had fun in playing sepaktakraw with the school children. Wuju opera performers also learnt more about the sepaktakraw event after experiencing it. "Both Wuju opera and sepaktakraw are intangible cultural heritages. Wuju opera has been trying to integrate and innovate. With this special experience, maybe we can also add some skills of sepaktakraw to Wuju opera performances."

It is learnt that Wuju opera originated in the middle of the Ming Dynasty more than 500 years ago. Coincidentally, tracing the history of sepaktakraw,it is also originated in the Malacca area in the 15th century. Although the two were born in completely different environments, they are at "the same age".
