Jinhua Mayor Xing Zhihong met with a Tanzanian trade delegation led by Msafiri Mbibo, deputy executive secretary of Tanzanian Ministry of Mines, on Aug 17.

Xing outlined Jinhua's economic and social achievements over the past few years during the meeting, noting that the achievements would not have been possible without cooperation with African countries.

Xing added that Tanzania is a major trade partner of Jinhua and expressed hope that both sides will seek more economic and trade cooperation and set a good example in creating a mutually beneficial situation.

Mbibo pointed out that Jinhua's foreign trade is booming and said he hoped to draw on Jinhua's experience to bolster Tanzanian economic and social development.

Mbibo also delivered an invitation to Jinhua's entrepreneurs to conduct field surveys in Tanzania and make more investments.

Jinhua's foreign trade to Tanzania was valued at 2.93 billion yuan ($402.25 million) in the first half of this year, up 2.4 percent year-on-year, according to Jinhua Customs.
