Buffalo city is a port municipality on the southeast coast of the Republic of South Africa. It has convenient and efficient transportation and the East London Port Railway runs through it. Many important national highways intersect there, making it a key link to South Africa's inland areas. The city has a fully equipped, international-standard container port and direct flights from East London Airport to major cities in South Africa. The municipality is home to the largest Mercedes-Benz factory in the southern hemisphere. In recent years, the city has built a new industrial development zone, with favorable policies to attract foreign investment and promote employment. Educational resources are represented by Walter Sisulu University and the University of Fort Hale. There are various arts, culture and sports facilities, a rich cultural atmosphere and it has held large-scale sports events, mostly noticeably the triathlon. In addition, it has breathtaking coastal scenery, beautiful natural scenery and rich tourism resources.
