Wucheng district in Jinhua, East China's Zhejiang province, has taken a series of actions to improve its urban landscape in preparation for the upcoming 19th Hangzhou Asian Games scheduled to take place from Sept 23 to Oct 8.

For example, the district has invested 1.1 billion yuan ($151.33 million) this year to launch 20 urban landscape projects, including upgrading one street, building three pocket parks and creating several public green spaces.

The pocket parks have been equipped with smart facilities for fitness and children's play and plenty of trees have been planted along main roads.

As the Games draw nearer, decorations featuring the Games have also been hung up at these parks.

The district is currently home to more than 30 pocket parks, where local residents can enjoy the atmosphere of the Games and engage in physical activities.
