Jinhua Party secretary meets with Hong Kong delegation

Zhu Chonglie, Party secretary of Jinhua in East China's Zhejiang province, met with a delegation from the Association for the Promotion of Global Chinese Traders Fraternity, or GCTF, in Hong Kong on Oct 24, according to local media reports.

Zhu noted during the meeting that Jinhua is renowned for its long history and rich culture, role as a transportation hub, and prosperous private economy, and has made significant progress in cooperating with Hong Kong over the past few years.

Zhu expressed hope that Jinhua and Hong Kong will expand cooperation in the economy, trade, and cultural exchange in the future, and more young people from Hong Kong will join the city's youth entrepreneurship program.

Liu Yongbi, chairman of the Foundation of GCTF, said that the foundation is aimed at promoting the development of public welfare undertakings such as social sciences, cultural education, and welfare assistance to help drive the prosperity and stability of the global Chinese economy.

Liu added that the foundation will further play a role as a bridge and link, and continue to contribute to the deepening of cooperation between Jinhua and Hong Kong in areas such as financial trade, technological development, cultural tourism, and youth exchanges.

The delegation also visited places such as the Yiwu International Trade Market, Lizu village, Hengdian World Studios, Youbu Ancient Town, and Jinhua Mountain to gain a better understanding of the city's culture and economic vitality.
