Seventeen ancient irrigation works in Jinhua were recently included on a list of key water conservancy project heritages in Zhejiang province.

The 17 entries include the Sanshiliu Weir and the Chaojia Pond in Wucheng district, the Songxi water conservancy project in Pujiang county, the Lanjiang ancient wharf relic in Lanxi, a county-level city in Jinhua, the Yankou Reservoir in Yiwu, and the Youxi Pond in Yongkang.

These water conservancy projects boast a long history and have significant historical and cultural value. In recent years, local authorities have surveyed the city's water cultural heritages and established backup reservoirs for water conservancy engineering heritage sites such as ancient wells and lakes.

These efforts not only preserve the history the projects carry, but also help the city formulate its protection and utilization plans.

According to the local water resources bureau, Jinhua will spare no effort to protect and utilize these water conservancy engineering heritage resources.
