German's Duren delegation visits Jinhua

A delegation from Duren, Germany visited Jinhua, East China's Zhejiang province, from Oct 25 to 29, according to local media reports.

Zhu Chonglie, Party secretary of Jinhua, delivered a warm welcome to the delegation and noted at the meeting that the two cities have formed a deep friendship since they established friendly ties 20 years ago.

Zhu expressed hope that the two cities will expand economic and trade exchanges, tap into the potential of scientific and technological innovation in fields such as new energy, artificial intelligence, and digital economy, and strengthen people-to-people exchanges.

Frank Ulrich, mayor of Duren, expressed his gratitude for Jinhua's hospitable reception and gave a high appraisal of the city's social and economic achievements, noting that the two cities have made significant strides in industrial, energy and climate cooperation over the past few years.

Ulrich expressed hope that the two cities will carry out further cooperation in education and new energy.

The delegation visited places like Wucheng district, Dongyang, a county-level city in Jinhua, and Yiwu, to gain a better understanding of the city's new energy vehicle sector, Sino-German education cooperation, the Belt and Road Initiative, film and TV cultural industry, and the China-Europe Railway Express.

Members of the delegation said that the visit impressed them greatly and that Jinhua has made significant progress in creating a market-oriented, law-based and international business environment, and the success of German enterprises in the city will greatly strengthen their confidence in making investments in the city.
