The 2024 Filial Piety Culture and Tourism Festival, also known as the Zheng Family Ancestral Memorial Ceremony, took place on March 17 in Zhengzhai town, Pujiang county, Jinhua, Zhejiang province.

The festival honored the Zheng Family for its enduring commitment to filial piety, as the largest family in the Jiangnan region – the areas south of the Yangtze River.

More than 700 members of the Zheng clan gathered to partake in the collective ancestral worship ceremony, journeying from Pujiang, Hangzhou, Wenzhou, and other locations, alongside descendants of the Korean Zheng clan from even more distant lands.

"Here in Zhengzhai, we have discovered our roots," expressed Zheng Chengwan, a representative of the Korean descendants of the Zheng clan. Thirty-nine descendants of the Zheng clan traveled from Korea to Pujiang to participate in the ancestral worship ceremony. The Zheng clan ancestral worship ceremony, along with other rituals such as the coming-of-age ceremony, the crowning ceremony, and the wedding ceremony, comprises an integral part of the Zheng clan's family traditions. It has evolved into a significant folk cultural activity and a platform for cultural exchange in Pujiang.

In addition to the cultural festivities, both sides engaged in economic and trade exchanges, investment attraction, and various activities centered around the town's filial piety cultural resources, all aimed at fostering the enhanced and expedited development of Zhengzhai.
